The technical knowledge for manufacturing 24kV withdrawable medium-voltage switchgear type AMS has been developed through a joint collaboration between Mehrabad Industrial Company and German specialists, based on the requirements of the IEC62271 standard. It has successfully obtained type-test certification from the ICMET laboratory in Romania.

This switchgear offers a diverse range of current and voltage ratings, compact dimensions, and a reinforced structure using DOUBLE BENDING technology. Its ease of operation makes it an ideal choice for various industrial projects, sub-transmission stations, and power plant applications.

Social Responsibilities

The CGIS switchgear is a new joint product of Mehrabad Company and DECOM of Germany. All main components of the switchgear, including the disconnector, breaker, and transformers, are placed in a metal enclosure filled with SF6 gas, which, in addition to creating high safety, eliminates the need for repairs and maintenance and prevents the ingress of moisture, dust, and oxidation into the main parts of the switchgear.

PREFABRICATED FEEDER HOUSES are an innovative solution with unique capabilities in electrical energy distribution networks and, compared to the building type, are the most suitable choice for achieving the financial and time goals of the project.

The LPGIS product is the result of a research and innovation project in collaboration with the Fulmen Group and German specialists, based on the idea of converting a 63 kV AIS substation with all the main equipment, including lightning arresters, voltage transformers, disconnectors, current transformers, and circuit breakers, into an ultra-compact switchgear. Small dimensions, minimal need for maintenance, installation of equipment using the Plug-in method, along with attention to passive defense and environmental issues in the design, are among the prominent features of this product.

The 63/20 kV LPGIS mobile substation, utilizing LPGIS and CGIS switchgear, has very compact dimensions, such that the use of this type of substation reduces the approximate 2000 square meters of space required for the construction of a 63/20 kV AIS substation to less than 110 square meters.

All 63 and 20 kV feeders and other auxiliary equipment of this substation can be accommodated in a 6.2 * 4.6 meter cabin, which, along with the auxiliary transformer, can be easily transported by a two-axle truck without concern for traffic load considerations.

Fereidoun Mahmoudian was born in 1943 in the city of Kermanshah, in western Iran. In 1967, he graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Tehran Polytechnic University. He then went to France for postgraduate studies and then returned back to Iran, where he was employed as a professor at Tehran Polytechnic University. Simultaneously, he established various companies active in industrial fields, with Fulmen being the latest His areas of expertise include control and protection, high-voltage equipment, and manufacturing.

A well-educated engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in Research, Consultancy, and Management. Supervisor of more than 10 Ph.D. students and more than 50 MScs. Expert in electric power system planning and most management skills. Recognized nationally and internationally as a distinguished engineer and awarded more than 200 appreciation letters from top national and international officers. Possessing a well-oriented and structured character, he is highly capable in team formation and project execution. He has visited more than 60 countries around the world and has a good knowledge of the cultures of different nations.

Armond Ayvazian was born in Tehran in 1970 and received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 1994.Following his graduation, he began his professional career at Fulmen Company. He initially served as a Design Engineer and Project Manager and, since 2016, has held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fulmen. Among his notable achievements at Fulmen Group are the management of numerous national and international projects involving the construction of AIS and GIS high-voltage substations, as well as the quantitative and qualitative expansion of the Group’s activities in emerging technologies. In particular, he has played a key role in the development of LPGIS substations, a technology that was introduced and developed in Iran for the first time under Fulmen’s leadership.

Hooman Hasani Talaqani is an experienced accountant with a master's degree in Accounting from Tarbiat Modares University and currently pursuing a PhD at Tehran University. He has held key financial roles, including Financial Manager at Lavan Petrochemical and  he has been Internal audit manager at FHA of Iran. Hooman also serves as a tax dispute representative for Tehran's Tax Affairs Organization and he is an accounting instructor at various universities and institutes since 2014 such as PACT(ACCA) &IPART.

Ali Hasani is an electrical engineer with 22 years of experience in design and project management of high-voltage substations including national and international projects. He has extensive expertise in different aspects of HV substations ranging voltage levels up to 400kV and has expert knowledge in GIS equipment. Ali has held key positions in FULMEN Co. , including lead substation design engineer, project manager and deputy of high-voltage execution department. He holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and is proficient in project management and HV/LV engineering practices.
