1. Switches:
Load Break Switch (LBS): This switch can be opened while carrying current. It typically uses SF6 gas for insulation and arc quenching.
Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB): This breaker interrupts and connects current. It uses a vacuum for arc interruption, resulting in a smaller size compared to other breakers.
2. Busbar Compartment:
The enclosure(s) housing the busbars (main current conductors). These compartments are usually made of suitable insulation to prevent short circuits and provide connection paths to adjacent cells
3. Connections:
Cable Terminations: This refers to how cables connect to the panel, typically accessed from the front. These connections should be designed for secure and safe connection.
4. Operating Mechanism:
Ward Leonard Switch Operation: This refers to the internal operation of the switch. Ward Leonard might reference a specific motor speed control system, but in this context, it likely refers to the general mechanism for opening and closing the switch.
5. LV Section:
Low Voltage (LV) Section: A dedicated part of the panel for installing terminals, low voltage protection equipment (fuses, relays), and auxiliary relays. If more space is needed, an additional box might be mounted above the panel.
